The Monument is a literary magazine based in the Washington, DC area, dedicated to publishing high-quality local interests, essays, and visual art. We seek to highlight diverse voices and perspectives, fostering a vibrant literary community within the nation’s capital and beyond.
Our premiere issue is set to release January 1st, 2026 and will feature works from local authors and artists. We invite submissions from writers and artists of all backgrounds who are passionate about contributing to the cultural tapestry of our region.
